Our story

We’re truly best friends that enjoy spending a lot of time together.

Most days, we tell each other to “Get out of my head” because we usually have the same thoughts simultaneously. Although we have some uncommon interests, our values and character are very similar. We both have a sarcastic sense of humor that allows us to laugh together even during hard times. We are constantly helping each other to be our best selves.

We met over ten years ago while working at a Cancer Hospital in the Patient Care departments. I (Angela) was hesitant to date a co-worker, so we started as friends. After months of getting to know each other, our relationship grew from “Hey there”, to “Like You” to “Love You!” To this day, I (Angela) still have Brian in my phone as “Bobert.” I still call him Bob, a nickname I called him before our relationship was public information.

Currently, we are living on a small alpaca farm. We moved from the city three years ago with a one-year-old son and a vision of what our lives could be. Parenting our son Owen has been a dream we have seen come true with hard work and faith. It has been amazing! We are eager to grow and learn new things together, which has kept our lives and relationship exciting.

The most important thing you should know about us

Brian is proud to be adopted

We have very flexible schedules since we both work from home. Our child(ren) are our first priority in life and we spend a lot of quality time together as a family.

We love going on spontaneous adventures to explore the city, a day trip to the beach or find a new park. Our son is constantly learning and experiencing new things.

We live on a small farm. We have alpacas and chickens who are all very child-friendly.

Our home and family

We live on a quiet cul-de-sac in a diverse community which we love.

The older neighbors have adopted our son as their youngest grandchild, and they love to spoil him. Our neighborhood has a wide range of families, from young to old.

Surrounding our family with diversity is a huge priority for us. In the church and Private Christian school Owen attends, there is a multitude of families from many cultures and races.

Most of our time, we do family activities like picnicking at the parks, going to the aquarium, camping, and hanging out with our alpacas and chickens.

Living on an alpaca farm is a unique and beautiful way for kids to experience new daily adventures. We occasionally lose count of how many animals we have. But currently, we have 19 Alpacas and 12 chickens, and a 17-year-old mini poodle. They all love children and have made a great impact of gentleness and caretaking with our son’s upbringing.

We’re very blessed that we can expose our child(ren) to multiple perspectives of life and look forward to having another member join our circle of love.
